[Insert pretty stereotypical romcom here. Somewhat cliche, but not a bad way to spend an afternoon. Between the two of them - probably mostly Chuuya, let's be real - they finish off the bag of popcorn by the movie's end.]

[Yup. A perfectly acceptable way to spend the afternoon. And she was happy to let him have the lion's share of the popcorn while she dealt with the candy.]

It was. I should really do this more often.

[Go to the movies, go out on a date, it's nice doing normal things like this since she didn't really get to do much of that before /waves hands at Zepar and all that]

Hard to imagine you don't have guys falling over themselves to ask you out.

I'm flattered, really. But the truth is I haven't had much opportunity for this sort of thing until recently.

[That's at least part of the truth, anyways.]

[That's certainly a question. And she will try very hard to not give too honest an answer there. Mostly because she's really enjoying herself and doesn't want to skip or fast forward through things.]

Whatever you like would be fine. I'm not a very picky eater.

[That's true enough. She's pickier when it comes to dessert, but for the actual food itself, she's fairly agreeable.

...of course that also applies to the answer she's trying to not give, but that's not important right now.]

[He defaults to the food he's used to and grew up with. The comforts of home, as it were.

As they leave the movie theater, he offers her his arm.]

[This is a bit sweeter treatment than she's used to. But that's no reason to decline, so she'll take that offered arm.]

And that would be fine. I'm not adverse to trying something new, but something familiar is nice too.

In a place as weird as this, it's nice to have the taste of home.

[She has absolutely no plans to bring up how others treat her, honestly. She really doesn't want to spoil this time by bringing up Andersen or something like that.]

It adds to the strangeness though, being in a completely different world and yet being able to find something so familiar. But I'm not the type to worry about that sort of thing.

Were you expecting the food here to be neon green slime or something else 'alien' enough?
